About
Hello, thank you for being here. My name is Isabel Monreal, founder and creator of “imonreal Natural Products”. I am a mother of three, a wife, a homemaker, and a full-time worker. I have a Bachelor's in Biochemical Engineering Degree, a Master's, and a Doctor of Science in Chemistry degrees from the National Technological Institute of Mexico, (formerly known as ITT), in Tijuana, Baja California. On top of that, I also have an Associate degree in Environmental Health and Safety from Central Community College in Grand Island, NE (known as CCC).
During my time in Nebraska and time after, I worked for two years on scientific investigation creating and forming new organic molecules at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in the Department of Chemistry. By the time I returned to San Diego, I found work in the food industry managing a lab in charge of Quality Control at Nature’s Supplements Inc., located in Oceanside. I did this by conducting microbiological and physicochemical tests on those powder supplements. After that, I found work for Hewlett-Packard in Rancho Bernardo, in their Department of Research and Development. There, I realized ink formulations for their printers as well as physicochemical assessments. Not long after, I found a position at the Department of Research and Development for Becton and Dickinson, in La Jolla. Here, I oversaw biochemical reactions with gold nanoparticles for COVID-19 rapid tests. Currently, I find myself employed by the City of San Diego in the Department of Public Services as an Environmental Scientist. At our environmental lab, I work on the analysis of urban and industrial waste and treated water, determining if pesticides are present before reaching the ocean.
Recently, I obtained a Diploma in Skin Organic Skin Care Formulation, and currently, my passion for this area has flourished and led me to seek an Advanced Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Science at an International European School.
This all began when I started the development of my own skincare products back in 2016, when my inquiry on Natural ingredients and function of the skincare products that I used grew. I nurtured my passion for this initially as a hobby, and as time went on, I set up a homemade lab. My educational experience without a doubt aided me in starting this interest and creating new formulas for skincare sustainably. I have always paid a great piece of mind to the product design but most importantly every one of my formulas is based on natural, organic, and ecological sources. At first, these products were gifts for family and friends, and eventually, I found myself selling enough at local markets and events. It was all inspiring and I continue to look forward to the creation of new formulas!
